Novamet (Pty) Ltd was established in May 2016 with a collective experience of over 100 years. Our capability is founded on extensive knowledge, expertise and experience in the minerals, metals, and chemicals industries. We participated in operations, engineering design, project development, project implementation, project management and corporate management. Our experience was gained over many years working for internationally recognised mining companies, chemical companies, engineering consultancies as well as original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s).

Andrew is a registered professional engineer with ECSA, a registered Chartered Engineer with ECUK and is a member of IChemE, SAIChE and SAIMM. He is an accomplished process engineering professional with experience in operations, process design and consulting within the metals and minerals industry.
His career spans more than 30 years and he has held senior positions in a large mining corporate as well as internationally recognised engineering consultancies.
After graduating from Salford University (UK) in 1987 with a BSc (hons) in Chemical Engineering, Andrew joined Johannesburg Consolidated Investment (JCI) as a production metallurgist based at the Base Metals Refinery (BMR) in Rustenburg.
After several years as Senior Metallurgist Andrew transferred to the projects department based in Johannesburg and was appointed process lead for Anglo Platinum’s BMR expansion project. He later undertook mineral processing projects and was appointed process lead for several large concentrator projects.
Andrew joined TWP (now WorleyParsons) in 2010 as a Senior Process Consultant–Minerals Processing to provide technical input and guidance to mineral processing projects.
In 2014 he joined Hatch Goba based in Woodmead as Director Minerals Processing to manage the mineral processing centre of excellence for the Africa –Europe –Middle East region.
